OpenAI launches $500 monthly Pro plan with exclusive fastest model Astra Ultrafast

At OpenAI DevDay 2026, OpenAI announced a new Pro plan costing $500 per month to meet higher building demands. The plan offers the highest usage limits and exclusive access to Astra Ultrafast, OpenAI's fastest frontier model.

In ChatGPT Work and Codex, Astra Ultrafast can run up to 8 times faster than the standard Astra. Ultrafast is only available with the Pro 500 plan.

Additionally, the previously paused Pro 200 plan is once again open to new subscribers. Priced at about 3,361 yuan, Pro 500 targets high-frequency, high-load professional users.
