OpenAI Launches Ultrafast GPT-6.1 Sol, Up to 8x Faster Than Standard

OpenAI has officially launched the Ultrafast version of GPT-6.1 Sol. It is now available across the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work, giving developers and business users much faster processing power.

The new version runs up to 8 times faster than the standard Sol model. It costs 6 times more: $12 per million input tokens and $60 per million output tokens.

In Codex and ChatGPT Work, the feature is open to Pro 500 plans, eligible usage-based enterprise plans, and credit-based education plans. Business users need an admin to turn it on first.

The Ultrafast version is now live in all supported regions, with full data residency compliance support in the US and EU.
