OpenAI Plans to Invest Up to $1.5 Billion in New Joint Venture to Boost Enterprise Office Tools Adoption

Reportedly, OpenAI plans to invest up to $1.5 billion in DeployCo, a new joint venture, with an initial $500 million equity injection. The enterprise is expected to reach a $100 billion valuation after early May funding, registered in Delaware, USA, aiming to promote enterprise-level use of OpenAI's office tools.

OpenAI will hold super voting shares in DeployCo, with investors getting a 17.5% annual return. OpenAI may add another $1 billion later, and investors will inject an additional $40 billion. This is OpenAI's core move into the enterprise market, where Anthropic currently has stronger momentum.
