OpenAI's Annual Revenue Nears $70 Billion as B2B Business Doubles

According to Axios, people familiar with the matter say OpenAI's annual recurring revenue is now close to $70 billion. Since early in the third quarter of 2026, its ARR has grown over 70%, with B2B revenue up more than 100%. Its consumer business added more revenue in Q3 alone than in all of 2025.

Meanwhile, the AI price war is heating up. Falling token costs have pushed OpenAI and Anthropic into broader price competition, forcing both to control infrastructure costs while growing usage.

Both companies are preparing for IPOs, making the revenue race even more important. OpenAI has started its IPO filing process, while Anthropic confidentially filed earlier this year and is reportedly valued at close to $2 trillion.
