OpenAI to preview new cybersecurity AI model GPT-6 Cyber

According to Fortune, people familiar with the matter say OpenAI plans to preview its newest cybersecurity-focused model, GPT-6 Cyber, within the next few days. OpenAI will also launch a companion product to help customers deploy the model in a safer, more automated way.

GPT-6 Cyber and its companion product are expected to appear at OpenAI's developer conference in San Francisco on September 29, possibly even earlier, and are planned for official release in the coming months. It would be OpenAI's fourth cybersecurity-focused model this year.

Sources say a small number of customers in OpenAI's invite-only Daybreak Red program have already gained access to GPT-6 Cyber for alpha testing. Daybreak is OpenAI's cybersecurity project, split into Red and Blue tiers, with Red offering top-tier security tools and Blue focused on general protection.

OpenAI also plans to roll out more than ten other products at the developer conference, most unrelated to cybersecurity and spanning both enterprise and consumer business lines.
