Qualcomm VP: Personal AI Will Work Across All Your Devices

Qualcomm's global VP Xia Quan said at the 2026 CIFTIS that human-computer interaction is changing as AI improves. In the past, people relied on apps to get work done. In the future, they will increasingly work alongside AI agents.

Xia pointed out that truly useful personal AI must not only understand user needs but also respond in real time and stay connected across different devices and scenarios. Personal AI won't be limited to a single device. It will work across phones, PCs, wearables, cars and more, offering a natural, seamless and personalized smart experience.

Computing tasks will no longer be fixed on one device. They will be flexibly distributed and work smoothly across terminals, edge and cloud based on needs. Xia further noted that as personal AI and agent capabilities mature on this distributed architecture, their value will go beyond a single device or personal experience and start creating new possibilities for businesses and industries. More services will be delivered intelligently, and more companies will build new products, services and business models around AI.
