Snapchat Lens+ Adds AI Features That Turn Chats Into Songs

Snap announced new generative AI features for its Snapchat Lens+ subscription. The service launched in June 2025 at $7.99 per month, offering more exclusive filters on top of the standard Snapchat+ plan.

The biggest addition lets users turn chat messages into original short songs. Users long-press any text message in a chat, pick a music style like pop or rock, and tap Create Song to generate a track. They can preview the AI audio before sending it to the other person.

Lens+ also adds an AI Remix feature that uses AI to rework Snaps from friends with funny custom edits. For photo and text editing, AI-enhanced fonts can add foam, spray paint, and bubble letter textures to captions. Users can also use Imagine Lens to generate images and AI Clips to turn photos into 5-second HD videos.

Snap says generative AI features use a lot of server power, so Lens+ users get a fixed monthly AI generation quota. Each AI use consumes part of that quota, and once it runs out, users must wait for the next monthly billing cycle to reset.
