Star Motion M7 Humanoid Robot Debuts at Guangzhou Postal Area, Sorting Efficiency Exceeds 85% of Manual Work
CCTV's 'City Style Record' Guangzhou episode showcased robot sorters at China Post's Guangzhou Postal Area Center. These robots can autonomously identify package positions, accurately grab and flip packages to face the label up, and work with equipment to send them to corresponding slots.
The humanoid robot named Star Motion M7 is self-developed by Star Motion Era, equipped with the fully direct-drive five-finger dexterous hand Star Motion XHAND1 and the embodied brain ERA-42. It can learn from real-scene data during operations, continuously evolve, sort packages of different materials and specifications, identify abnormal items, and adapt to complex scenarios.
Currently, the operational efficiency of Star Motion M7 has reached over 85% of manual work, with a maximum of 1200 pieces processed per hour. It takes on high-intensity repetitive tasks, freeing frontline workers from physical labor to transfer to more technical and developmental positions.
