Tencent Hunyuan Launches Hy Translate App with 33 Languages and Offline Mode

Tencent Hunyuan has launched the "Tencent Hy Translate" app, available on mini programs, plugins, and PC. Users can search "Tencent Hunyuan Translate" to try it. Built on the Hy-MT2 translation model, the app supports translation between 33 languages and covers 5 Chinese ethnic minority languages and dialects.

The app offers voice translation, photo translation, and offline translation. In offline mode, users can download the translation model to their phones in advance and use it stably in places with no or poor network signals.

The app is now available in 12 countries and regions, including the US, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and China's Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions. The Hy-MT2 model was open-sourced in May and shows clear improvements over the previous generation in multilingual instruction following and professional translation.
