Tencent's Yuanbao Search is now open, with billions of daily calls

Tencent Cloud has opened Yuanbao Search to the public. It is a search engine built for large language models and Agents. The index now covers hundreds of billions of pages, with hundreds of millions of calls every day. It supports search for over 50 core businesses, including WorkBuddy, ima, and Tencent Video.

Yuanbao Search connects to 157 sources from 13 industries, such as finance, healthcare, and travel. Coverage of stock reports from China, the US, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea reaches over 99%. AI models check content quality before adding it, picking trusted sources and filtering out low-quality ones. News and market data update within minutes.

For speed, it uses a three-type index structure. It keeps a 94% recall rate while each search takes only 8 milliseconds on average. The ranking model now runs in 30 milliseconds, down from 149. The app responds almost 1 second faster.

Yuanbao Search offers three versions: Speed, Standard, and Premium, starting at 14 yuan per 1,000 calls.
