Tesla Opens 12 Robot-Related Positions to Push Mass Production of Optimus Humanoid Robots
Tesla recently opened 12 robot-related positions at its Fremont factory in California to prepare for the mass production of Optimus humanoid robots. The recruitment covers roles like manufacturing engineering technicians and quality engineers, aiming to build a professional team to advance mass production.
Elon Musk retweeted the recruitment information on Twitter, further confirming Tesla's focus on the robot project. As Tesla's first vehicle assembly plant, the Fremont factory previously demonstrated high efficiency in Model Y production and will now take on the robot mass production task.
According to the plan, Tesla aims to produce 10,000 Optimus units in 2025, reach a monthly capacity of 10,000 units in 2026 for external sales, and increase monthly capacity to 100,000 units in 2027. Netizens reacted warmly—some look forward to the innovation wave, while others joked that robots might eventually replace human jobs.
