Three major carriers launch token products to reduce AI service costs
China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom have launched 'token products' on the China Computing Power Platform. Tokens are the smallest information units processed by large models, with features like measurability, pricing, and tradability. This new value system is becoming a key path for AI commercialization.
China Telecom's Token Plan offers developer/SME and personal/family versions. The former uses the GLM-5 model for coding and complex reasoning, while the latter uses DeepSeek V3.2 for daily tasks. China Mobile's Coding Plan is a subscription service for AI coding, supporting mainstream models and charging per request to lower costs.
China Unicom also launched Coding Plan and Token Plan. Coding Plan integrates models like DeepSeek V4, GLM-5, and MiniMax M2.5. Token Plan has personal and team editions, with the personal edition supporting DeepSeek V4-Flash and MiniMax M2.5, and the team edition using flexible billing. All products are now available on the China Computing Power Platform.
