Unitree listed on STAR Market, DeepSeek invests 141 million yuan
Unitree Robotics, a Chinese company known for humanoid robots, is about to go public on Shanghai's STAR Market. The IPO price is 150.80 yuan per share, with 40.45 million shares offered, representing 10% of the post-IPO total shares. Notably, DeepSeek's developer, Hangzhou DeepSeek AI Technology, joined the strategic placement, buying 933,390 shares for about 141 million yuan.
At an investor meeting, Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing said the two companies signed a cooperation agreement. They will work together on general AI, high-performance robots, and large AI models. Wang also revealed that Unitree shipped over 5,500 humanoid robots (excluding wheeled dual-arm models) in 2025.
As technology improves and costs drop, Unitree expects humanoid robots to become more common in manufacturing, consumer services, and public services, opening up more applications.
