US Pentagon Adds ChatGPT and Grok for Daily Non-Secret Work

The US Department of Defense this week added custom versions of ChatGPT and Grok to its internal network, letting millions of soldiers and civilian staff use AI for everyday non-secret tasks. ChatGPT Mil, made by OpenAI, helps with reading and writing documents, like planning logistics and handling office work. Grok for Government, from Starshield AI, offers different thinking modes for tracking supplies and doing research. All data stays inside the Pentagon's secure system, and OpenAI and xAI won't use it to train their models. These AI tools are not allowed for combat or targeting.
