Actors Can Do Part-Time AI Training Too? Handshake AI Recruits Performers to Record Videos, Up to $74 per Hour

If you're an actor looking for flexible side work, here's an option: Handshake AI is recruiting performers to record videos for a leading AI company. The role is part-time and remote, requiring at least a bachelor's degree, with an hourly rate of up to $74.

Performers need to improvise scenes with others based on simple prompts, with full creative freedom to shape the direction of each interaction. Handshake says the job easily fits around auditions, classes or rehearsals. Though the use of recordings isn't specified, Reddit users guess it's for training AI video generation models.

This recruitment reflects an AI industry trend: more companies are hiring art and creative professionals for AI training, and most of these positions are contract-based without full-time benefits like health insurance.
