AI Agent Email Service Startup AgentMail Secures $6M Seed Funding, Launches Auto-Access API
AI agents often lack suitable communication tools for collaboration, as traditional email UIs aren't designed for their autonomous operations. Recently, AgentMail, a startup focused on email services for AI agents, announced it has secured $6 million in seed funding, led by General Catalyst with participation from Y Combinator, Phosphor Capital and several angel investors.
Alongside the funding, AgentMail launched an auto-access API that allows developers to connect AI agents directly, enabling them to register and create email accounts independently. The platform also supports manual management of emails, permissions, allowlists and API keys. The CEO stated the service was built from scratch to provide AI agents with a Gmail/Outlook-like experience minus human interface elements.
