AI decision model race heats up as Liquid AI launches d1-ultra to challenge Jev 1.14

TypeSafe AI released the Jev 1.14 preview on October 14, Pacific Time. The company says it is a new and improved decision model that supports image input, offers longer context, and adds a new "box" type.

Just one day later, AI lab Liquid AI announced d1-ultra, calling it the "world's best" decision model.

Liquid AI says d1-ultra beats Jev 1.14 across eight task types, and also performs better than rivals like vLLM Semantic Router d3. The back-to-back launches show decision models are becoming a new battleground for AI labs.
