AI replaces translation role: 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2' translator fired

Max Hejtmánek, a translator at Warhorse Studios, was recently fired as AI replaced his role. He had worked at the studio since 2022, mainly translating Czech text from 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2' into English, including dialogues and logs.

On March 27, he was notified of his departure without warning. The company stated that AI would take over all translation work to improve efficiency and cut costs. Hejtmánek said he had opposed AI translation before but never expected to lose his job. He feels disappointed with the company and sad to leave colleagues, and has provided LinkedIn proof but can't share the contract due to NDA.
