Alibaba's Qoder Launches Mobile Use Plugin to Bring Coding Agents into Android, HarmonyOS, and iOS Apps
Alibaba's Qoder has launched the Mobile Use plugin (Beta) to solve the problem of coding agents stopping before submission in mobile development. The plugin supports Android, HarmonyOS, and iOS, allowing code changes to connect directly to app runtime for on-device interaction and verification.
Technically, Mobile Use keeps each platform's native toolchain: Android uses Emulator, ADB, and Instrumentation; HarmonyOS connects to DevEco Previewer, HDC, and ArkXTest; iOS uses Xcode Simulator, Accessibility, and XCTest. Platform differences are handled by adapters, while a unified Skill and CLI provide capabilities to the agent.
Qoder emphasizes that existing development environments can still be used without preparing separate test devices for the agent. If a platform lacks a certain capability, the plugin will clearly state it rather than faking success with a non-equivalent command.
