AMD Launches New Ryzen AI Halo Developer Platform That Can Run 300B AI Models Locally
AMD has officially launched its new Ryzen AI Halo developer platform, powered by the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. Compared to the first-generation device, the CPU, GPU, and NPU performance have all been improved.
The biggest highlight is the memory: the platform supports up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory, with 160GB available as shared graphics memory. This means developers can run AI models with over 300 billion parameters right on the device, without relying on cloud computing.
The Linux version is priced at $7,299.99. A Windows version pre-installed with Microsoft's Project Zenith will be released later, giving developers more system options.
