Anduril Founder Luckey: Sino-US AI Gap Extremely Small, China's Deployment Speed Far Exceeds US
Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril Industries, recently stated in an interview that the US's leading edge in the AI race is extremely small, and China's deployment speed of AI is far faster than the US. He mentioned China has done well in distilling US models and using open-source AI achievements, with structural advantages in promoting practical AI applications.
Anduril just won a $20 billion enterprise procurement framework contract from the US Army. Its Arsenal-1 weapons factory in Ohio will start production weeks earlier than planned. The contract covers AI command-and-control platform Lattice and supporting hardware, with the first $87 million order for anti-drone command control.
