Anthropic Launches Claude for Word Beta to Help Legal Professionals Handle Documents Efficiently

Anthropic recently launched the Claude for Word beta version, following its Excel and PowerPoint plugins as another office tool expansion. It targets professionals in legal, financial and other fields who need to handle documents frequently, focusing on scenarios like contract review and memo writing to provide efficient document assistance functions.

Claude for Word allows users to ask questions about document content and get answers with paragraph references. It can also edit text while retaining formatting, and accept or reject changes one by one via revision mode. Additionally, it can handle comment threads, edit anchored text and explain the reasons for changes. Currently, this feature is only available to Team and Enterprise plan users.
