Anthropic Opens Office in Singapore as Claude Use Ranks Among World's Highest

US AI company Anthropic has announced a new office in Singapore and signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore's Ministry of Digital Development and Information.

Singapore is one of Anthropic's most active markets worldwide. Millions of locals, plus many companies and government agencies, already use Claude every day. Partners include the Government Technology Agency of Singapore, Grab, and DBS Bank, and Anthropic will support them with its growing local team.

Both sides will also work together on AI safety, cybersecurity, and model safety checks, encouraging responsible AI use in public and private sectors. Anthropic's Economic Index shows Singapore ranks 2nd out of 121 countries and regions in Claude.ai use per capita, about 6 times higher than expected for its population size.
