Anthropic plans to reopen advanced models overseas within days, expands in South Korea
Anthropic's international managing director Chris Ciauri said at a press event in Seoul that the company expects to reopen its advanced models Mythos and Fable 5 to users outside the U.S. within days. The models were temporarily blocked due to a U.S. government security directive.
Ciauri also said Anthropic is deepening its investment in South Korea, building a local team covering business, tech, policy, and operations, and plans to grow quickly in the coming months. South Korea is now the 12th largest market for Anthropic and one of its fastest-growing.
To manage the risks of these models, Anthropic launched a cybersecurity initiative called Project Glasswing, which grants access only to selected partners. The program currently includes about 150 partners, such as Google, Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, SK Hynix, and SK Telecom.
