Anthropic Promotes Open Communication Culture: Employees Can Directly Challenge CEO on Slack

Amol Avasare, head of growth at Anthropic, recently stated that employees can directly challenge CEO Dario Amodei on Slack. The company sets up public Slack 'notebook' channels for each employee, where everyone—including the CEO—shares ideas and work progress, similar to a Twitter feed. Anyone can join channels of different teams to get information, and the company culture encourages employees to 'argue directly with Dario'.

Anthropic completed a $30 billion Series G funding round in February, with a valuation of $380 billion. It is one of the tech companies that weaken hierarchy and encourage quick expression of opinions. Companies like Airbnb and Netflix also advocate similar cultures, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk once emphasized that communication should take the shortest path rather than through hierarchy.
