Anthropic Researchers: AI's Impact on Job Market Is Still in Early Stages
Recently, economists from Anthropic stated that AI's impact on the job market is still in a very early stage, and there is still a long way to go before it changes the labor structure. Using a new method, they found that professions like computer programmers and customer service representatives are most vulnerable to AI, but the unemployment rate for these professions has not risen significantly yet.
The study also pointed out that the least affected professions include chefs and motorcycle repair technicians. Additionally, Anthropic's CEO has warned that AI may replace half of entry-level white-collar jobs in the next 1-5 years, while xAI's CEO Musk believes that jobs involving physical operations will be impacted later.
