Anthropic tests Claude Cowork on mobile, lets you start tasks from your phone
Anthropic is testing a mobile version of Claude Cowork, letting users start and adjust tasks directly from their phones. Cowork is a desktop-focused AI agent mode designed for time-consuming knowledge tasks like creating documents, generating tables, and writing reports.
Based on leaked screenshots, the mobile version acts as a remote controller for starting tasks, adjusting direction, and checking progress, but may not have all desktop features. Cowork launched in January 2026, with code almost entirely written by AI Claude in just one and a half weeks.
In March 2026, Anthropic introduced a "computer use" feature allowing Claude to control users' Macs, along with a Dispatch function for sending voice or text commands from phone to desktop Claude, enabling cross-device remote control.
