Apple Co-founder Wozniak: AI Often Disappoints Me, Lacks Human Warmth
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said in an interview that he rarely uses artificial intelligence, and even when he does, he often feels disappointed. He mentioned that when he asks a question with a key focus, AI gives seemingly relevant but off-target explanations, and the generated text is dry and perfect, lacking human warmth.
Wozniak acknowledges that technology will improve, but currently sees no signs that AI can replace humans—because we haven't fully understood how the brain works to give AI traits like emotion and care. However, he also admits that nothing is impossible forever in tech.
His cautious views contrast sharply with many tech leaders: Google's Pichai says AI's impact exceeds the internet, Apple's Cook, Microsoft's Nadella and others hold similar views, Gates calls AI epoch-making, and Andreessen even claims AI will save the world.
