Apple's AI features lose appeal, fewer users want to upgrade
A new survey by UBS Evidence Lab shows that consumers are less excited about Apple's AI features, like the new Siri and Apple Intelligence. Only 24% of respondents said they would upgrade their devices early for these features, down 5% from before. Also, 31% of people said they don't care about these new features, up 3%.
The survey covered over 7,500 smartphone users in the US, UK, Germany, China, and Japan. The average iPhone age is 22.9 months, a bit shorter than before. In the US, 20% of respondents plan to buy an iPhone in the next month, up 3% from last year. The UK saw a 6% increase, Germany 4%, Japan 1%, while China dropped 1%.
