Bilibili CEO says the best content must be led by humans

Bilibili CEO Chen Rui spoke at the 2026 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, China. He shared his thoughts on content creation in the AI era at the Internet Entrepreneurs Forum.

Chen believes the best content must be led by humans. Great works need not only good technique, but also personal expression from creators. He showed AI works made by Bilibili creators and said AI expands what creators can do, yet the heart of creation is still human.

He called AI the biggest tech revolution since video was born. Someday AI may create videos better than humans in pure technique. But good content needs both skill and real emotion. People today are still moved by poems written 3,000 years ago.

Chen said Bilibili will use the best technology to help creators express themselves well in the AI era.
