Bilibili Releases Index-Translate Multilingual Translation Model Family

Bilibili's Index LLM team has officially released the Index-Translate multilingual translation model family, available in 2B, 9B, and 35B-A3B (preview) sizes. The model weights are now open on Hugging Face and ModelScope. Built on Qwen3.5, the models cover 150 languages including Chinese and English, and support translation instructions for terminology, formatting, and content preservation.

The family includes several specialized models: Index-Translate handles text, structured content, and community expressions; Index-Echo generates subtitles or dubbing in the target language while referencing the speaker's voice features from the source audio; Index-Homura adjusts translations based on a specified target syllable count; and Index-NativeLong maintains consistency across long documents using context.

Official examples showcase community slang translation, syllable control, and 32K-token long-text translation, where character names remain consistent throughout. The models are now available for download and online trial.
