The second-gen Doubao phone is expected to launch in mid-late Q2 2026, co-developed with Nubia. To address the issue of the first-gen model being blocked by apps like WeChat and Alipay due to background operations, ByteDance is negotiating access permissions with mainstream app providers (e.g., ride-hailing and food delivery) to resolve compatibility issues and enhance user experience.
