Cerebras CEO says AI devices are coming to every home
Andrew Feldman, CEO of US AI chip maker Cerebras Systems, said at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 conference that an era where every household has AI devices is not far away, and consumer AI agents are already gaining ground among everyday users.
He pointed to Meta's Muse and the startup Instinct, now valued at 10 billion US dollars, as examples of this trend. He predicts personal AI assistants running locally will appear soon. Like phones, these devices would handle some tasks on the device and send the rest to the cloud. They would deeply understand their users, have dedicated security boundaries, and could even hold credit cards to shop for their owners.
Feldman himself uses a set of AI agents to manage his schedule and pull up background info on upcoming calls. As a chip company leader, he prefers building infrastructure platforms and leaves consumer product ideas to other founders.
