China's Cyberspace Administration Launches 4-Month Special Campaign to Regulate AI Application Chaos
To regulate AI services and applications, promote healthy industry development, and protect citizens' legitimate rights, China's Cyberspace Administration recently issued a notice to launch a 4-month special campaign called 'Qinglang·Rectify AI Application Chaos' nationwide. The campaign has two phases, targeting irregularities from both technical sources and information content aspects.
The first phase focuses on 7 key issues including unfulfilled large model registration obligations, insufficient safety review capabilities, training data security risks, AI data poisoning, inadequate labeling of generated content, illegal AI misuse, and poor open-source model management. The second phase addresses 7 types of chaos such as AI-generated 'digital garbage', false information, impersonation, violent and vulgar content, minor rights violations, online water army activities, and non-compliant AI products/services, resolutely clearing illegal content and punishing violators.
