Counterpoint Predicts: 145 Million Physical AI Devices to Be Shipped Cumulatively from 2025 to 2035, Humanoid Robots Grow Fastest

Recently, Counterpoint Research released a prediction that the cumulative shipment of Physical AI devices will reach 145 million units between 2025 and 2035, with 59 million drones, 48 million robots, and 38 million autonomous cars.

The institution notes that the humanoid robot segment will be the fastest-growing category: cumulative installations will exceed 100,000 units in 2028, a 7-fold increase from 2025. Peter Richardson, Vice President of Counterpoint Research, said autonomous cars are the base layer of current Physical AI transformation and remain the most value-driven field; drones are the earliest application area to achieve large-scale deployment, with rapid popularity in logistics, monitoring and other scenarios.
