Elon Musk's xAI to Enter AI Programming Field, Set to Launch Grok Build and CLI Products Next Week
Tech media testingcatalog reports that Elon Musk's xAI is set to enter the AI programming field, with plans to launch Grok Build and Grok CLI products next week. This marks xAI's official entry into the AI programming track, competing directly with mainstream tools like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.
xAI has rolled out the Grok 4.3 Early Access beta, currently available only to Grok Heavy subscribers. Grok Build will rely on this model for programming functions instead of developing a separate dedicated model. The product uses a dual-track mechanism: users can execute tasks locally via CLI agents or remotely through a Web interface, with Electron desktop packaging likely being the optimal solution.
In terms of features, Grok Build is expected to introduce Parallel mode and Arena mode. Arena mode allows multiple agents to process the same task in parallel, letting users choose the best result.
