First middle school humanoid robot soccer tournament ends, Beijing team wins

The first middle school humanoid robot soccer tournament (Beijing Haidian) final was held at Tsinghua University High School from May 23 to 24. It's China's first such event for middle school students, organized by CCTV Beijing station and local authorities. The team from Minzu University of China's Affiliated High School won first place, with teams from Haidian Teachers' Training School and RDFZ Aerospace City School taking second and third. Over 44 teams and 420 students joined the qualifiers, with 16 teams reaching the final. All robots used AI to make decisions without human control, handling tasks like ball recognition and teamwork. Winners will qualify for the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games.
