Game Industry Accelerates AI Adoption: Neowiz Recruits AI Designers to Optimize Art Creation with Midjourney and Other Tools

The game industry is accelerating its adoption of artificial intelligence. Sony became the first major publisher to publicly support using AI to shorten game production cycles, while EA revealed that 85% of its quality inspection work now uses AI tools. Now, Neowiz, the developer of 'Lies of P', has joined this trend, pushing forward its AI layout.

Neowiz recently posted a job opening for an AI Creative Designer to join its Round8 studio. The role requires using generative AI tools like Midjourney and Stable Diffusion for character design and concept art creation, as well as training custom AI models and optimizing their art styles. Additionally, the designer will integrate AI tools into existing workflows to build an efficient art creation pipeline and train other employees to use AI tools.

Although 90% of game studios have applied AI to optimize processes, whether generative AI in art creation will gain player approval remains to be seen.
