Google DeepMind invests $75 million in A24 to build AI tools for filmmakers
Google DeepMind has invested $75 million in A24, the indie film studio behind hit movies like Everything Everywhere All at Once. They plan to work together to build AI tools for making movies and TV shows.
DeepMind says this is a first-of-its-kind partnership in the industry, aiming to get direct feedback from top creators. While Hollywood is divided on using AI in filmmaking, A24 isn't the first to try it. Netflix and Amazon's MGM Studios have also started developing AI tools for production.
