Huang Renxun Says AGI Has Been Achieved, But 100,000 AI Agents Can't Create Nvidia
Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun clearly stated in the Lex Fridman podcast when asked about the AGI timeline that AGI has already been achieved. Fridman defined AGI as an AI system capable of creating and operating a tech company worth over $1 billion, and asked whether it would take another 5, 10, or 20 years.
Huang first gave an affirmative answer, then illustrated with an example: Claude can make interesting small apps, but if billions of people each pay 50 cents to use them, they would quickly fail. He compared this to the short-lived websites of the internet era, saying their complexity does not exceed the level AI can generate now.
But he also drew a line: the probability that 100,000 such AI Agents can create Nvidia is zero.
