Huawei's Xiaoyi AI Quick Bar to roll out with HarmonyOS 7 by late October

Huawei officially launched its HarmonyOS 7 operating system at a September 7 event. The system runs on the Harmony Intelligence architecture and supports Xiaoyi, a system-level AI agent that combines a four-layer memory structure, app skills, cloud and on-device large models, and multi-device collaboration.

The launch time for the new Xiaoyi AI Quick Bar is now clear. Huawei customer service confirmed it is a new HarmonyOS 7 feature. Once turned on, Xiaoyi will stay in the Dock bar at the bottom of the phone's home screen, making it easy to access anytime.

The feature is expected to arrive gradually by the end of October, rolled out in batches based on device models. Users with different phones will get this system-level AI entry point over time.
