Hubei Takes Lead in Launching Digital ID Registration for Humanoid Robots Nationwide, Enabling One Robot One Code Traceability
Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center has taken the lead nationwide in launching digital ID registration for humanoid robots, realizing one robot one code, full traceability, and accountable rights and responsibilities. The "digital ID", formally known as the full-life-cycle identity authentication for humanoid robots, is a unique identifier for each robot, consisting of four parts: national code, enterprise code, product model code, and serial number, covering key information such as production entity, hardware parameters, intelligence level, and factory filing.
With the digital ID, the full-life-cycle dynamic information of robots such as operation and maintenance records and usage scenarios can be traced throughout, including real-time access to joint wear, battery status, and operation accuracy. Meanwhile, it supports cross-platform universal deployment; in new scenarios, performance and history can be verified directly without repeated testing, improving circulation and reuse efficiency and reducing transaction and supervision costs.
So far, the center has completed the first batch of enterprise and product filing applications and code-making tests to the relevant standardization committee under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Once the standards are released, formal numbering and ID issuance will begin. The first batch of enterprises covers leading companies in Hubei province in humanoid robot body manufacturing, core technology R&D, and scenario applications.
