Korean AI Chat App Zeta Caught in VTuber Copyright Dispute
Zeta, an AI chat service by Korean company Scatter Lab, is caught in a copyright dispute. The platform says it received a copyright warning from ANYCOLOR, the agency behind VTuber group Nijisanji. Users also found that Zeta's ads on Pixiv used images of VTubers from other agencies. Zeta lets users customize a character's personality, way of speaking, and story background, then move the story forward through AI chats. Works can be shared publicly. Since January 2026, the platform has only allowed original characters, banning idols, anime, and game characters. Zeta says it will remove all works using ANYCOLOR's IP without permission, but hasn't said how many works are affected. Media outlet 4Gamers notes that many fan works about hololive and VSPO! VTubers can still be found on the platform. Pixiv says it is switching its ad service provider and looking into the issue.
