Mark Cuban Skeptical of Humanoid Robots: Future Should Adapt Environments to Robots Instead
American billionaire Mark Cuban is optimistic about human-robot coexistence but doubts humanoid robots. He thinks the industry's enthusiasm for humanoid robots may not last, and such products could fail in 5 to 10 years.
Cuban proposes an alternative: redesign environments and robot forms instead of robots adapting to the world. For example, use spider or ant-like structures for搬运 tasks, and adjust house interiors to hide functional areas. Amazon's million non-humanoid warehouse robots have proven this idea works.
However, the industry still invests in humanoid robots—Tesla's Optimus, OpenAI's R&D team and startups keep加码. Agility Robotics says humanoid robots can fill labor gaps after U.S. manufacturing reshoring.
