Against the backdrop of intensifying generative AI competition, Meta is fully accelerating its efforts to catch up with industry leaders. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently moved his desk to the AI research team's workspace and resumed coding all day, deeply engaging in the company's AI business transformation.
Meta President Dina Powell McCormick revealed at the Semafor World Economic Summit in Washington, D.C., that Zuckerberg now sits alongside Chief AI Officer Alex Wang and AI Product Head Nat Friedman, spending 5 to 10 hours weekly coding for AI projects and evaluating team members' work results.
Meta has invested tens of billions of dollars to establish its "Super Intelligence Lab", including an approximately $15 billion investment in Scale AI and recruiting Scale AI co-founder Alex Wang. After the lab launched its first model Muse Spark, Meta's stock price rose by 8% in response, marking the first important milestone in its AI research and development.
