Meta launches new Muse Wonder AI models to rival Anthropic

The AI coding market is now led by Anthropic and OpenAI. Meta stepped up its challenge on Monday by releasing two new flagship AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. The company says the models scored close to Anthropic's top models in reasoning, writing and coding tests.

The models were developed by the team led by Meta's Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang, under the internal codename Watermelon. Muse Wonder will soon power Muse, Meta's AI agent app that topped the app store charts. The stronger Muse Wonder Full is only open to subscribers of its coding tool Muse Code.

Zuckerberg says AI should be practical and empowering, not dangerous. As concerns over rogue AI agents keep growing, Meta is using the new models to expand its AI services for business clients.
