Multiple Chinese Colleges Issue Ban: Strictly Prohibit Use of 'Lobster' (OpenClaw) Software
Recently, several Chinese colleges have issued bans on the use of OpenClaw (nicknamed 'Lobster') software. Institutions like Henan Medical and Health Technician College, Shanxi Applied Science and Technology College, and Gansu Iron and Steel Vocational Technical College have all notified that installation and operation of the software and its derivatives in campus network environments and terminal devices are strictly prohibited.
Schools require teachers and students who have installed it to uninstall immediately and clear configurations, caches, and log files. Violations will be severely dealt with, and those causing security incidents will bear legal responsibility. Some colleges allow applications for use due to work needs (e.g., technical testing), but strict approval is required.
