National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center Issues Risk Warning for OpenClaw Application in Industrial Sectors
National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center has issued a risk warning for OpenClaw application in industrial sectors. OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent that can control computers via natural language commands, with persistent memory and active execution capabilities, and is gradually being applied in industrial R&D, production, and operation links.
This agent has issues like blurred trust boundaries and permission management flaws. Without effective protection, it may be maliciously taken over, leading to risks such as industrial control system out of control, sensitive information leakage, and expanded attack surface, threatening enterprise production safety. Enterprises are advised to strengthen permission management, avoid granting system-level permissions; deploy in isolation without direct connection to industrial control networks; update patches timely and obtain plugins from trusted channels.
