Nvidia Launches Lyra 2.0: Generate 90-Meter Coherent 3D Environments from a Single Photo, Solving Long-Distance Roaming Issues
A key pain point in AI-generated 3D scenes is that long-distance movement of virtual cameras often leads to image distortion, and returning to explored areas usually requires re-construction.
Nvidia launched the Lyra 2.0 system, which can generate real-time navigable 3D environments from a single photo. It solves memory issues by storing 3D geometric data of each frame, and trains the model to identify and correct errors. Benchmark tests show it outperforms 6 competitors in most metrics, with its Fast version being about 13 times faster. The generated scenes can be exported for robot simulation training.
