Nvidia Launches Nemotron Coalition: Global AI Labs Collaborate to Build Open Frontier Models

Nvidia recently announced the launch of the Nemotron Coalition, an alliance of leading global AI labs to co-build open frontier models. This is the first such global collaboration between model builders and AI labs.

Founding members include star AI startups like Cursor, Mistral, and Perplexity. They will leverage their strengths in multimodal, frontier model development, and long-range reasoning to develop an open model trained on Nvidia DGX Cloud, which will be open-sourced for global participants to customize.

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated that open models are the lifeblood of innovation. The coalition aims to promote transparency and collaboration, expand access to intelligence, and ensure the future of AI is shaped and built by the global community.
